Downtown Toronto AirBnB

The main goal for this project was to build a furnished suite that was warm and inviting, with lots of natural light. By creating two focal points at the front and rear of the unit: the exposed brick wall, and blue sliding barn door, the eye is drawn to either end making the suite feel longer. Finishing material like the large plank engineered hardwood, thick wood shelf, neutral hues, large rugs, and textured cushions and throws, added considerable warmth to the space. Given our tight budget, we used mostly second hand furniture, and the layout was critical in helping us create distinct kitchen, dining and living spaces. The bar height dining table also doubles as additional kitchen prep space. The basement now generates a sizeable secondary income.
