My Story
My journey with home renovations started 10+ years ago as a DIYer on our early 1900s Bay and Gable home in Toronto. Our home is typical of many urban dwellings: little storage, underutilized spaces, low natural light, and aging internal systems. My passion to renovate homes with similar challenges grew from there; and I have discovered that even on a limited budget, good design can bring out the inherent beauty of any space. A community-based educator at heart, I find myself perpetually curious about how design can be an extension of our personal stories, traditions and heritage; and how approaches to building can be anchored in sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
